MARCH 2002 STALLION OF THE MONTH
White Oaks Bayamo

Bayamo is an outstanding example of a Pure Puerto Rican Paso Fino stallion. His pedigree is impeccable, with the precious bloodlines of Kofresi, Volare, Guamani, Faeton LaCE, Principe, Batalla, and of course Dulce Sueno. He has a marked resemblance to Kofresi, both in conformation and in gait. He has the genetic gift for passing along his body type and gait to all of his offspring. Bayamo  provides, along with his outstanding conformation and good looks, the in-born ability to perform a true 4-beat lateral Paso Fino gait in perfect rhythm and cadence and as defined by the breed standards for Paso Finos.

APRIL 2002 STALLION OF THE MONTH
Oscuro,
This beautiful black Fino stallion, was bred in Columbia and he was recently purchased by Louis G. Lopez.
Oscuro is the son of Rayo de Linares Fc x Consentida Universal. Oscuro's bloodlines consist of some of the best Paso Fino horses of all times, such as Contrapunto, Bochica, Gran Delfin and many more Fino champions. Oscuro can be a great asset to your breeding program and also a great alternative to the Resorte bloodlines. By the composition of his bloodlines and the look of his offspring, there is no doubt that Oscuro will add his size, color, brio and his extraordinary gait. Many of Oscuro's offspring are hitting the ground and will be ready for the show ring in the near future, so get in line and make Oscuro your next breeding choice, you won't regret it.

MARE OF THE MONTH MARCH 2002
Paso-Bilities Chevralita

Dear Paso Registry
Lita is my first horse, and she was the horse who changed my outlook on Pasos  forever. I was a hunter/jumper rider for 3 years, and I was extremely focused on winning and gaining points. I never paid much attention to gaited breeds.
They were more of a time waster than an actual horse.
Then, by fate's good grace, I came to meet Lita. She taught me that the real spirit of a Paso doesn't come from being the highest pointed horse, or the national champion, it comes from that Paso "brio". The soul and heart that beats below the satin coat, the spirit we can possibly tame, but never hope to conquer."

MARE OF THE MONTH APRIL 2002
Apple Valley Lachera

Take one look at Lachera and you will be taken back to the days of Carmin, Sin Verguenza, and all the legendary horses of the Paso Fino breed. Her father, Santana's Comanchero, was National Performance Champion Schooling 4years old in 1994. One of Lachera's most remarkable features are her eyes, which are reminiscent of those of Carmin. Her elegance and presence in the show ring electrify the audience with every pass, and her intelligence and Brio are conveyed in her winning attitude.
